about
Through its energetic, stop-start production,”Three Candles” grapples with a duality and conflict of personality common to childhood. A distant, meandering vocal hovers over a glittering, glitchy tapestry, woven from hyperactive percussion, looped vocal melodies and textured synths.
Taking inspiration from Charlie Kaufman’s “Adaptation” and childhood classic “Stand By Me”, the new single tiptoes between the idiosyncrasies and dreamlike familiarity of the two films, with unique production quirks nodding to the dreamlike qualities of Animal Collective and the intimate pop of Caribou.
Roscoe Fox is a 20-year-old Liverpool native, pioneering a distinct sound that flirts with freak-pop and left field electronica. Fox first surfaced online a few years ago, posting his offerings to Soundcloud. Since then, he has spent his time writing & producing, widely inspired by the likes of Frank Ocean, Matty and Arthur.
Roscoe Fox returns to music with a playful and progressive body of work and an accompanying enigmatic visual component to match. His textural production paints otherworldly pictures, signed off with hypnotic vocal lines and tempered with a northern provenance.
